Gentle Readers, what could be better than a pudding pop on a hot day? One with strawberries in it. Thank you Bill Cosby for leading the way.
Pudding pops were my very favorite commercial frozen dessert growing up. We could buy them at school: chocolate, vanilla, or swirl. I still miss that chemical sweetness.
Though the 80’s gaveth, they also tooketh away, and Jell-O Pudding Pops are no more. So why not making pudding and freeze it? Absolutely no reason. Make the pudding of your choice, blend in any additions, or drop them in your popsicle mold, and freeze. Hello dessert. Don’t these look like satisfied and Practical Cooks?
Flavor combos to date: Chocolate and Strawberry, Vanilla (this was actually vanilla yogurt, bear with me) and Strawberry Puree with Almond Cookie Chunks
Be a hero this summer, put some ingredient choices out, and let your Junior Cooks decide and stir. Enjoy.
