The Practical Cook, aka Amy Lewis, currently resides at home with her family in North Carolina.
She cooks frequently for the young, the picky, and the palate-challenged (who are sometimes one and the same). With 30+ years of kitchen time, she looks forward to the happy moments when she can sit down and eat her own cooking while it’s still hot.
Pastimes include field research (aka, eating), travel, and kitchen and food-related acquisition.
Amy served as the 2011 N.C. State Fair Deep Fried Ambassador. Yeah, it’s a real job, complete with a badge and a parking pass!
